The Tide is the new solo project of multi instrumentalist, composer, songwriter Jacopo Bertacco.
His new album "Whirl On The River" is a kaleidoscopic record out of psychedelic folk-rock, dream-like love songs, epic progressive moods with hints of African and Eastern music.
Active since the mid nineties, through his live and studio work with several different bands and his decisive contribution to numerous Albums, EPs and singles, Jacopo has been acclaimed and recognised over the years for his distinctive visionary sound and his poetic.
An artist open to experimentation and contamination between different musical languages, Jacopo has worked regularly on various projects including multimedia performances, soundtracking of films and theater plays and above all maintaining an intense live activity with different bands.
He’s a member of the legendary guitar ensemble "The League of Crafty Guitarists" by Robert Fripp, with whom he has played since 2005 touring Europe and United States.
In addition to his musical activity, Jacopo is passionately devoted to the study of Yoga and Martial Arts which he has been practicing and teaching for many years. A traveller and psychonaut by nature, he was inspired in adolescence by the writings of the Beat Generation and by the literature on "Wanderung" by various Romantic authors.
